Emplace Design Project Presentation
Updated: Aug 12
All of us at Friends of the Broadway Prestwick would like to give immense thanks to Aislinng, Chlöe, Ella and Louise from Emplace Design, and to Martin Juríček, for their incredible hard work, dedication and passion shown for the Broadway's future!

The Emplace team have completed their professional design project on the structure of the Broadway, and we were honoured to be presented with their work at Heriot-Watt University yesterday afternoon. Over the last six months, they have developed a truly remarkable structural analysis of the building, with a 3D model of the Broadway's wonderfully impressive steel frame, and gathered immensely valuable information that will now inform our architects Burrell Foley Fischer on the structural condition of the building. Their project centres around protecting the Broadway's heritage for our community's future generations, and safeguarding the existing building's structure and showing in great detail how that can be achieved. Their proposals also include three options for how the Broadway Cinema of the future could look, and how the existing building's land area could be developed to fit the needs of our project aims and the people of Prestwick.

To Aislinng, Chlöe, Ella, Louise and Martin reading this, thank you. From the first time visiting the Broadway your love and passion for the project was instantly ignited and truly heart-warming to see. Watching your progress these past six months and collaborating with you on major group events has been amazing and we will be forever grateful for the work you have done. You will forever be a part of the Broadway's journey!
