Emplace Design Collaboration (Heriot-Watt University)

We are delighted to introduce you to an amazing team of students from Heriot-Watt University!

Chlöe, Louise, Aislinng and Ella have all chosen to collaborate with Friends of the Broadway Prestwick on a seven-month long intensive design project and we are all incredibly excited to watch as they help bring your vision for the Broadway's future to life! Last week we welcomed the team to the Broadway for the first time and below you can read a welcome introduction from the students themselves!

"We are a team of final year civil and structural engineering students from Heriot Watt University with a passion to see the Broadway Cinema rescued from demolition and returned to its former glory. The building captivated us all the moment we walked through its doors! We are delighted to have been given this opportunity to come alongside the people of Prestwick and the Friends of the Broadway Prestwick to form a new cost-effective, sustainable and structurally sound proposal that encapsulates the heart and vision of the town. We have called ourselves “Emplace Design” as it is our vision to create design solutions that restore precious heritage back into its rightful place among the community."
